Dr Frederick Struckmeier

Frederick Struckmeier began his career at TRUMPF as an industrial doctorate, supervised by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at KIT, which he graduated in 2018. It was during this time that he first encountered quantum computing. Following his doctorate, he became a development engineer for optimisation and AI, before later becoming a team leader for prediction and optimization. He started multiple research projects in QC and is a member of the Advisory Board of QuantumBW. Since February 2023, Struckmeier is the Head of Quantum Applications Group for the TRUMPF Group.
